Audience-driven performance of populism

Phew! Just edited this Masters Thesis for Leopold Meinert, researcher at Technische Universität Berlin. It was a technical and linguistic challenge, but I emerge from it with a deepened, and rather more disturbing understanding of populist performance; in particular, seeing the simplifications, reductions and aggressively of the populist performer being generated, in part, by the applause and encouragement of audiences, is pretty uncomfortable. It is not only the nefarious ambitions of a few shady individuals, but the darker impulses and ideas of those who support them, that is causing populist politics to swell within our democracies.

Thanks to Leo for his kind testimonial: 'Simon helped me to refine my Masters Thesis with valuable corrections and amendments. Since I am not a native speaker his support really gave me the feeling of having produced a high quality scientific work. Although the text were fairly specific and sometimes abstract I had the impression that Simon understood the text. He gave me important hints to improve overall readability and comprehensibility.'

Good luck for your Masters assessment, Leo!
